EWGA Semi-final Championship Winners Advance to Final Round in Largest U.S. Amateur Women’s Golf Competition - September 1, 2011

Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., September 1, 2011 – The EWGA semi-final championship for the Pacific Northwest area of the Executive Women's Golf Association was held on Saturday, August 27 at the Palouse Ridge Golf Club in Pullman, Washington. The first place gross and net winners in each flight advance to the final round of the EWGA Championship, considered the largest amateur women's golf competition in the United States.

The 36-hole championship finals will be held at JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Desert Willow Golf Club in Palm Desert, California on October 21 -22, 2011. Now in its 16th year, this annual nationwide competition attracts over 2400 participants.

The EWGA Championship begins at the chapter level with members competing in individual stoke play in five flights based on USGA handicaps and a scramble team competition. First place low gross and low net winners in each flight and the winning scramble team advance to one of the 15 semi-final competitions held throughout the United States.

The six EWGA chapters represented in the Pacific Northwest area include Boise-Treasure Valley, Central Oregon (Bend), Portland, Salt Lake City, Seattle and Spokane/ Inland Northwest chapters.
