The 2017 EWGA Cup Series, presented by Baird Private Wealth Management, began this past weekend with the Atlantic, Midwest and Central regional qualifiers on September 9-10. The Atlantic regional was held on the Palmer Course at Bay Creek Resort & Club in Cape Charles, VA. The Central and Midwest regional qualifiers were co-hosted on the Apple Rock and Slick Rock courses at Horshoe Bay in Horseshoe Bay, TX.
The Southern regional was also scheduled for play during the same weekend, but was postponed due to Hurricane Irma. The event has been rescheduled for September 23-24 at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, FL.

Now in its seventh year and one of the premier competitive events run by the Executive Women's Golf Association, the EWGA Cup is a team-based competition consisting of Four Ball and Singles Match Play. The Series begins with eight regional qualifiers throughout the country during the month of September, with teams competing to earn a spot in the 2017 EWGA Cup Finals, also presented by Baird Private Wealth Management. The Finals will be held October 27-28 in Daytona Beach at LPGA International.
The Cup’s format mirrors the professional golf formats used at the Ryder Cup, President’s Cup and Solheim Cup events. The event encourages women of all skill levels to compete, promoting friendly, fun competitive play among its membership. Clever team names and colorful, coordinated outfits added to the friendly competition.
