Shelly is currently wrapping up her second year as President of the EWGA Greater Richmond, VA chapter. After serving at the chapter level, Shelly wants to use her abilities on a more strategic level to help EWGA further its mission and growth goals. Shelly has been a member of EWGA for over 5 years and has been serving on the board for the past 4 years in the capacity of secretary, marketing director and president.
Shelly is the President and Founder of Verance Consulting LLC, a sales and personal growth transformation company, with core services including: fractional sales management, sales coaching andsales training. Shelly works with salespeople and business owners to help them solve their sales challenges, improve performance and increase results. Shelly coaches and trains on business development, selling skills, personality profiling, nurturing and marketing automation solutions.
In 2015, Shelly became a Licensed and Certified B.A.N.K.™ Personality Sales Trainer, teaching sales people, business owners and leadership teams how to communicate, negotiate and sell to other personality types and generate greater results.
Shelly became a Certified Hatchbuck Partner in 2015 to help small business clients with their CRM, email marketing and marketing automation challenges.
In 2014, Shelly became a CTA Certified Coach. Coaching skills have married very well with sales training to help clients work through personal issues that may keep them from moving forward or getting out of their comfort zone.
Before departing from her corporate career, Shelly was the Director of Sales and Marketing for NimbleBridge, a division of B&B Printing, working with clients to solve their sales and marketing automation challenges which included solutions such as online marketing portals, lead generation, nurturing and multichannel marketing campaigns.
Shelly sold over $35 million during her 25-year sales career in the printing industry, winning multiple top sales person awards and breaking sales records. She worked with several large corporate accounts such as Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shied, Performance Food Group and BB&T. During her printing career, Shelly spent 13 years in Sales and Business Development with Worth Higgins & Associates, 12 years in Sales and Sales Management with Lewis Creative Technologies (now Conquest Graphics) and 3 years in Customer Service Management with Carter Printing.
Shelly graduated from Marshall University with a Bachelor of Business Degree. During college, she was a Resident Advisor and on a partial softball scholarship.
In addition to serving on the EWGA board, Shelly also served for three years on the River City Express Network (part of ABWA) board. She served on the programming committee and as VP of Programming and President-Elect.
Shelly is a member of: EWGA, PRO Richmond, Synapse Hubs, eWomen Network, ABWA and NAPW.
Shelly volunteers with Habitat, The First Tee’s LPGA USGA Girls Golf Program and Change the World RVA.
Shelly enjoys spending time with her family, 3 rescue dogs, playing golf, reading and anything on the water.
