Marriott Golf Becomes National Partner of EWGA as Portfolio of Domestic Golf Facilities Join the EWGA Golf Course Network

August 4 | Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.- EWGA welcomes Marriott Golf, one of the world's premier golf operators, as a new National Partner.  Marriott Golf's portfolio of domestic properties is now a member of the EWGA Golf Course Network, offering special access and playing privileges to EWGA members.  Founded in 1991 as the Executive Women's Golf Association, EWGA is the largest women-focused national amateur golf association in the United States with Chapters located in more than 100 cities as well as international Chapters in Bermuda, Canada and Italy.

"We salute Marriott Golf for their commitment to growing and supporting women's golf," says Pam Swensen, CEO of EWGA. "The EWGA Golf Course Network is designed to connect our members, which consist of avid women golfers, with playing opportunities at Marriott Golf’s premier collection of facilities.”

Facilities participating in the EWGA Golf Course Network will offer EWGA members reduced fees for play, practice or instruction and may offer special rates for apparel and food and beverage purchases. Offers may vary by facility and are listed on EWGA's 'members-only' website. Additionally, each respective facility receives a complimentary EWGA membership for a staff member to join a local chapter.

"We are committed to supporting the growth of women’s golf, and this partnership with the EWGA will be mutually beneficial on both the National and grassroots level,” said Brett Stark, Senior Director of Marketing and eCommerce, Marriott Golf. “The complimentary memberships provide our golf staff the opportunity to get more closely connected with EWGA members on the chapter level.”

Based on a recent survey conducted by the PGA of America, EWGA members annually play an average of 42 18-hole equivalent rounds and spend an average of $5,356 per member on golf activities, equipment and golf-related travel. In total, EWGA members account for more than $63 million in golf related purchases.
