The EWGA, also known as the Executive Women's Golf Association, is a Florida not-for-profit 501(c)(6) corporation serving an international membership. The EWGA exists to connect women to learn, play and enjoy golf for business and for fun.
Since its inception in 1991, the EWGA has served as a portal to golf and touched the lives of tens of thousands of women. EWGA has Chapters throughout the United States, along with international Chapters in Canada, Bermuda and Italy. They offer a wide range of organized golf activities, learning programs, volunteer, social and networking opportunities for both novice and experienced golfers.
The EWGA is dedicated to inclusiveness and diversity in its membership and seeks to provide timely, valued benefits and services to EWGA members to promote the growth of women's golf and enrich the lives of women through the game of golf. The EWGA also serves as an advocate for positive change on issues of importance to women golfers.
EWGA members join the Association and may select a local Chapter as a part of the base dues. Members may also join additional local Chapters for an added fee. Chapters are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
EWGA Chapter activities typically include: member recruitment events; 2 to 3 major tournaments; weekly ‘after work' 9-hole league play; business networking and social functions; weekend golf outings; golf rules and etiquette seminars; education programs; a Chapter Championship (the qualifying event in the EWGA Championship); charity fundraising events; and volunteer installation and recognition events.
An all-volunteer Board of Directors, comprised of experienced Chapter leaders, golf industry representatives from the LPGA, USGA, PGA of America, and industry-specific specialists, governs the Association. All are members of the EWGA.
The EWGA Board of Directors is the highest governing body of the organization setting the strategic direction in which the organization heads.
Each EWGA Chapter is an incorporated business entity that is affiliated with the Association - the parent company. EWGA headquarters is run by dedicated staff who handle a myriad of operational, promotional and public relations needs required to keep everything humming, moving forward and growing.
Working out of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, EWGA Headquarters staff serve as a resource for all EWGA members and Chapter volunteers and to the national golf and business community. The staff is the face of the Executive Women's Golf Association. Functional areas include, but are not limited to: membership development and administration; sponsor and partner development; marketing; Chapter and leadership development; golf events and education; public relations; media relations, and more.
