Women On Par® Scholarship Program

The "Women On Par® ^" Scholarship Program is designed to help women over the age of 30 interested in beginning or completing their undergraduate college education. The "Women On Par® " Scholarship, provided by the EWGA Foundation, has been established to provide financial assistance to "nontraditional" female students who need assistance in bolstering their education to allow them to "get on par" with their peers and to advance themselves, whether professionally or personally. 

Applicants and scholarship recipients are not required to be EWGA Members. Eligibility requirements include the following:

• Female, at least 30 years of age
• U.S. or Canadian Citizen
• Pursuing a technical/vocational degree, associates, or bachelor's degree. Candidates must be first time applicants to school or returning to complete degree (Individuals who already have a bachelor's or higher level degree are ineligible to apply for this scholarship)
• Currently enrolled or accepted to an accredited school, college or university
• Financial need

APPLICATION PROCESS:  Phase 1 Application period for the 2010 "Women On Par® " Scholarship opened on January 1, 2010 and is now closed.

Application forms for the 2011 "Women On Par® " Scholarship will be available for download beginning January 1, 2011 and will be available to download through March 15, 2011 or until 200 applications are received from qualified applicants, whichever occurs first.  

To be considered a valid submission, completed scholarship application packets must be postmarked by the stated postmark deadline and mailed to the EWGA Foundation via U.S. Postal Service or other authorized carrier (UPS, FedEx, etc.).  Applications may not be submitted electronically or via fax.  For complete submission requirements, please see page 8 of the application form.

The 2011 "Women On Par®" Scholarship Application Form will be available for download beginning January 1, 2011 in either WORD format for those who prefer to complete the application using a computer (click on the link below to open the WORD formatted application form document to type in your responses on the WORD formatted version of the application form, then print and/or and save the file on your computer), or as a non-editable PDF file. EWGA members and their family members are welcome to apply, provided the aforementioned eligibility requirements are met. Members of the EWGA Headquarters staff, EWGA Association Board, EWGA Foundation Board, and the EWGA Foundation Board Selection Committee and their families are not eligible.

As announced recently, the EWGA Foundation has just created the Christy Bartlett Women On Par® Scholarship Fund and is seeking to endow this scholarship in Christy's name and in her honor.  To be a Founding Contributor to the New Christy Bartlett Women On Par® Scholarship Fund, download this form and return it via fax or mail to the attention of the EWGA Foundation.
