Education Programs

Golf education and player development touches the heart of the EWGA mission of providing opportunities for women to learn, play, and enjoy the game of golf for business and life. Since the Association's inception, thousands of women have participated in EWGA golf education programs designed for golfers of all skill levels and delivered by golf teaching professionals who work closely with EWGA volunteer Chapter leaders.

GOLF EDUCATION PROGRAMS
EWGA Golf Education & Player Development programs provide members and prospective members with quality education. Working with local PGA and LPGA teaching professionals, Chapters may offer the following programs:

  • Get Golf Ready
  • Breaking 100
  • How Low Can You Go
  • EWGA Skills Challenge
  • EWGA Golf for Business
  • Game of Golf

To assist current members who are new to golf, all EWGA Chapters will be offering the EWGA's New Golfer Mentoring program called S.W.I.N.G. - Skillful Women Inspiring New Golfers.

EWGA ASK THE INDUSTRY EXPERT
Throughout the year, EWGA will feature several golf industry experts who will be available to answer questions on topics such as Golf Course Maintenance, Golf Fitness, Rules of Golf, Tournament Preparation, and the Mental Game of Golf.

EWGA CHAMPIONSHIP presented by CALLAWAY GOLF
The Championship provides members at all skill levels the opportunity to compete in tournament golf and is the largest women's amateur golf tournament of its kind with more than 2,400 members participating in the tournament last year. Members may compete in the Stroke Play Competition or Inter-Chapter Team Scramble. Check with your local Chapter for more information about the 2009 Championship.
