Thank you for the S.W.I.N.G. Program! This is the first year the Salem, OR Chapter has participated and I'm thoroughly enjoying the experience of having a new golfer to mentor. Her name is Holly Ivy-Willie. She's enthusiastic and even as a new golfer has a passion for the game. She tells me 'I'm finding myself watching golf on TV'. I laughed because I could relate! From the moment I picked up my first club three years ago, I can't get enough of golf. What a great sport! And S.W.I.N.G. allows us to share the passion!

The EWGA Fairway Friends Program is available to all EWGA members.
The program teams experienced golfers with newer golfers to help them feel comfortable on the golf course. Mentoring is what EWGA is all about - helping women enter the game of golf in a fun, supportive and welcoming environment!
Who is a Mentor?
A mentor is an experienced, but not necessarily good golfer who guides a new golfer on pace of play, basic rules and proper etiquette on and off the golf course. Also, a mentor may guide the new member on how to participate in other EWGA events.
Who is a Mentee?
A mentee is someone making the transition from instruction to playing on a golf course. A mentee is paired with a mentor to guide them around the golf course safely and answer questions about etiquette, basic rules and the other nuances of the game in order to build confidence and comfort in the golf course setting.
The EWGA Fairway Friends Program runs from January 1 - October 31. In addition, ALL U.S. EWGA Chapters are listed as participants in the program.
The EWGA Fairway Friends Program is a win-win for both mentors and mentees.
To sign up for the EWGA Fairway Friends Program, please contact your Chapter's Golf Education and Player Development Chair. To find a Chapter near you, go to Find EWGA Near You.
