"From coast to coast and state to state,
If golf is what you want, you don't have to wait,
Join us and we will show you the way,
EWGA will help you get out and play.
So if what you want is to play golf across the USA,
You can do it with EWGA today."
~ Christy Bartlett, EWGA Portland, OR Chapter
Even if you've not boarded a plane in a year, you may have "Played the USA with EWGA".
Even if the courses you've played in the past year don't exceed your county lines, you may have "Played the USA with EWGA".
What do we mean by this? If you've played a course that offered you savings due to your membership in the EWGA, your experience qualifies.
If you've enjoyed special offers or savings of any kind, your experience qualifies.
If you participate in the new online EWGA social networking sites and you've connected with members from across the USA, your connections qualify.
If you've played in an intra-Chapter event and met members from other towns, your story qualifies.
And so do those who have enjoyed travel and new courses and new experiences they would not have otherwise enjoyed if it were not for their EWGA membership.
EWGA WANTS YOU to share your story with the world!
To help spread the word about all the great connections, opportunities, experiences and savings the EWGA offers, the EWGA has designed a new promotion called, "Play the USA with EWGA". The graphic's been prepared. We're set to include brief video clips or still pictures accompanied by a brief story on our website, on You Tube, on the EWGA group on Facebook, and in our Connections e-newsletter. Now all we need is for you to share your story!
Here's an example:
"When I first heard the new slogan "Play the USA with EWGA", I thought how well that saying fits with my EWGA experiences during the last decade. One of the first times I took advantage of the nationwide benefits of my EWGA membership, I played with three wonderful ladies of the Orange County, CA Chapter while on a business trip - simply by sending an email to the Chapter asking for playing partners. Sedona, AZ was the beautiful setting for a long weekend with Colorado and Arizona members and playing the Broadmoor just prior to the U.S. Senior Open was a test of skills. $25 paid for my green fees at a private club in Naples, FL during high season and I played for member rates at private courses in Tucson with EWGA members who have become close friends. I've hit a ball into the same lake from the movie "Tin Cup" in Tubac, AZ and played a round of golf with Patty Sheehan in Pinehurst, NC. My EWGA experiences have taken me literally from Southern California to Rhode Island and from Florida to Oregon but some of my fondest memories are playing the local courses (using EWGA discounts) with my fellow Chapter members in Northern Colorado! It's hard to believe how much I've gained playing the USA with EWGA!" - Karen Carlson, Northern Colorado Chapter
