Death of a pioneer by Farrell Evans, ESPN
Barbara Douglas, former EWGA Board member and the first African-American chairman of the USGA's women's committee, died Saturday after a lengthy battle with ovarian cancer. A former IBM Executive, Douglas, 69, was a past president of the National Minority Golf Foundation and a member of the National Black Golf Hall of Fame.Read more....
EWGA Wins ING Industry Honors Award in Player Development Category
From among hundreds of nominations from across the golf industry, EWGA has been selected to receive the ING Honors Award in the Player Development category for its outstanding achievement in bringing players into the game of golf. The award was presented at the 19th Annual ING Industry Honors Awards Program held January 27th at the 2012 PGA Show in Orlando, FL.
